Beiersdorf’s Poznań expansion adds six lines to a multi-brand skincare plant

Beiersdorf’s 5 June 2025 Poznań announcement describes a manufacturing expansion with a clear operating scope: six additional automated production lines and a microbiology laboratory. The company reported a €300 million investment and annual capacity rising to 500 million units. That figure describes the plant’s production capability; it is not a count of products sold.

A multi-brand site with a regional role

The Polish facility supplies products from NIVEA, Eucerin, Atrix, Hidrofugal and Florena, as well as the regional Bambino brand, to more than 100 markets according to Beiersdorf. The project began in 2020 and was completed in 2025 while operations continued. The company also reported more than 200 new jobs.

The brand list is useful because it shows why one plant can matter to several parts of a skincare portfolio. The expansion is not a factory dedicated to one newly announced cream. It adds capability to a location already connected to multiple assortments and destinations.

Three quantities that answer different questions

The investment amount describes the scale of the project. The number of new lines describes equipment added. Annual unit capacity describes possible output within the stated production system. None of those numbers gives the mix of items produced, actual utilization or local retailer availability.

For readers following beauty supply chains, the next useful detail would be which categories move onto the added lines and how the site’s production mix develops. A plant can support many different packs, so a single capacity total becomes more informative when paired with the kinds of items it is designed to handle.

Why expanding an operating plant is a distinct story

The company’s account emphasizes that the work did not interrupt existing operations. That is a different milestone from building an empty new site and beginning production later. A functioning plant must continue serving existing needs while equipment and working arrangements change around it.

The announcement places Poznań within Beiersdorf’s wider manufacturing network and describes stronger European supply as a goal. This article does not independently measure delivery-time savings, emissions reductions or realized output after expansion.
