Longchamp’s fragrance agreement joins brand stores with selective beauty distribution

Longchamp and Interparfums SA’s 22 July 2025 fragrance agreement sets out two routes to customers: Longchamp’s own points of sale and selective beauty channels. The first launch is expected in 2027 under an exclusive worldwide agreement running through 31 December 2036. The channel list is a useful part of the plan, because it places fragrance within both the fashion house and specialist beauty shopping.

What each partner brings to the brief

The release assigns Interparfums SA creation, development, production and distribution of the fragrance lines. It describes Longchamp as an independent Parisian house founded in 1948 and connects the project with its established leather-goods and fashion identity. Named selective channels include department stores, perfumeries and duty-free shops.

That combination can introduce the same scent in different settings. At a house’s own store, a customer encounters fragrance alongside an existing brand universe. In a perfumery, it sits among other fragrances and must communicate through its bottle, name and presentation. A development brief needs to consider both contexts.

Why the route matters before the bottle arrives

Distribution design influences how a new fragrance is explained. A brand store can build on existing familiarity with the house. A specialist beauty counter needs a concise way to introduce the fragrance on its own. Travel retail creates another setting in which format and recognizable identity may become especially visible.

These are editorial implications of the channels named in the release, not a report of completed installations. The practical next news event would pair a named fragrance with opening locations and a clear timetable. That would show how the partners translate the announced routes into access.

The first-launch year and the license end date serve different purposes. The former gives a product-development horizon; the latter describes the relationship’s duration. Neither supplies a full list of shops or guarantees a common release day across countries.

This article reports the agreement as a dated development in Longchamp’s beauty plans. It adds no speculative scent notes, package sizes, prices or projected sales.
